Ukraine opened checkpoint “Zolotoe” in Luhansk region
The checkpoint was opened on March 24 and works only unilaterally.
The representative of Ukraine in the subgroup on humanitarian issues of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) to resolve the situation in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions Irina Gerashchenko on her Facebook page reported:
“Today, through the use of video surveillance, we could see the territory behind the checkpoint “Zolote”. There is a desolation, no road, no hint of a checkpoint, no demining activity, no sanitary facilities. An agreement on the opening of the checkpoint “Zolote” was reached in the negotiations in the Normandy format and we demand from Putin to keep his word”.
