H.E. Mr. Yaşar Halit Çevik

Ambassador, Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine

After joining the service at Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1979, he became Consul General of Turkey in Zurich between 1995 and 1997. His first Ambassadorship of Turkey was to the Syrian Arab Republic between 2004 and 2009. He was Deputy Undersecretary for General Political Affairs between 2009 and 2012. Ambassador Çevik then fulfilled the position of Permanent Representative of Turkey to the UN between 2012 and 2016. He continued his career with being the Ambassador of Turkey to Greece between 2016 and 2018. After his retirement from the Turkish civil service, he has been the Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine since 1 June 2019.
