Surkov has decided to leave the position of curator of Ukraine in the Kremlin
Presidential advisor Vladislav Surkov left the civil service. This was reported by Director of the Center for Political Economy Alexei Chesnakov in his Telegram Channel. According to a political scientist close to Surkov, the decision was made by the presidential advisor due to “a change of course in the Ukrainian direction.
“There has been no decree on Surkov’s resignation so far,” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitriy Peskov commented on the news of Surkov’s resignation to Ekho Moskvy.
The Ukrainian direction and EurAsEC issues will be supervised by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak, sources close to the resigned government told RBC earlier.
