In April 2014, Matsuka was included to the list of ‘100 heroes of information’ that was first published by “Reporters without borders”. In October 2014, the organization “Canadian Journalists for Free Expression” gave Matsuka International Press Freedom Award. In 2021, he was editor-in-chief of the socio-political broadcasting of the TV channel “Dom” aimed at providing information for the residents of temporarily occupied territory.
