Iryna Vereshchuk

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine

Was born in 1979 in Rava Ruska, Lviv region. Education: From 1997 to 2002 – Military Institute at the National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, specialization “international information”. 2002-2006 – Faculty of Law, Lviv National University, majoring in Law. 2008-2010 she graduated from Lviv Regional Institute of Public Administration with a degree in law. In 2010, Ms Vereshchuk graduated from Lviv Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, with a qualification in “Public administration”. PhD in Public Administration. Work Experience: After graduating from the Military Institute, she served for five years as an officer in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From May 2007 till June 2008, Ms. Vereshchuk worked as a lawyer at Rava-Rusk City Council. From June to October 2010, she held the position of the Deputy Head of Zhovkva Regional State Administration. From 2010 to 2015 was a Mayor of Rava-Russka city of Zhovkovsky District in Lviv Region. From 2016 to 2019 – President of NGO “International Center for Baltic-Black Sea Studies and Consensus Practices”. From September 4 to November 15, 2019 – a Representative of the Government in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Since 2019 – Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation. Member of the Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Chairman of the Subcommittee on State Security and Defense. On November 4, 2021, Ms. Vereshchuk was appointed a Vice Prime Minister – Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
