Mr. Stan Veitsman

UN Peace amd Development Advisor, Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine

Mr. Veitsman has been the UN Peace and Development Advisor (PDA) in Ukraine since August 2014, prior to which he served as the PDA in Georgia (2011-2014). He previously served as the Political Advisor to the UN co-Chair of the Geneva International Discussions (2009-2011), and before that as the Special Assistant to the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and as a Political Affairs Officer with UNOMIG, the United Nations Observer Mission in Georgia (2003-2009). Before joining the UN, Mr. Veitsman worked for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs (1995-2003), during which time he completed two tours of duty with the Peace Monitoring Group (PMG) on Bougainville and a diplomatic posting to the Republic of Kazakhstan. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Studies, a Master of Arts degree in International Relations, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in History.
