Professor of Post-Soviet Studies at the University of Paris Nanterre. As a sociologist, she has studied Russian and other post-Soviet societies for 25 years, with a focus on the study of armed conflicts and their consequences. As an expert on human rights issues in the post-Soviet space, she has also participated in the work of several international human rights organizations.
