The civic organisation “Center for Civil Liberties” was created 30 May 2007 and is based in Kyiv. The CCL’s mission is to promote the values of human rights, democracy and solidarity in Ukraine and Eurasia by the way of asserting the principle of human dignity in practice. For this, the CCL defends fundamental human rights and liberties; represents public interests and carries out public control over human rights compliance in the activities of state and local government bodies; works with young people to form a new generation of young human rights activists and social activists; educates in the sphere of human rights and democracy, as well as implements a programme of international solidarity.
