François Croquette
Former French Ambassador for Human Rights (2017-2021)
François Croquette is a career diplomat, currently seconded to City Hall in Paris as director for climate and ecology. He has served in several postings abroad, including Moscow and London, and was the French Ambassador for Human Rights from 2017 to 2021. François Croquette has campaigned for the release of political prisoners in Russia and Belarus. He has worked closely with civil society throughout his career. Since the start of the war in Ukraine, he has been engaged in efforts to secure humanitarian assistance and to provide help for refugees in France.
